Cave Painting & Bastille

I'm excited because this is a new blog I have set up to talk about all things Music in particular new bands, acts, artists who are turning me on at the moment...

The first two bands to grace this stage are Cave Painting & Bastille. I don't know if you have heard of either of these, but seeing as you have now, listening to some of their stuff should be the next thing you do in life.

Cave Painting, from Brighton are starting to pick up some heat after releasing a mysterious video clip of one track and a Free Download of another called 'Leaf', which lead to playing to an industry-filled crowd at The Social last month. They are back in London on June 8th playing Proud Galleries. A must seeMysterious and haunting with massive sounding drums.

The two tracks currently on London-based Bastille YouTube channel are getting a lot of airplay on my speakers at the moment. 'Flaws' was the first track I heard and although the lead singers voice reminds me of the tractor-song-singing dudes Nizlopi, this should not be a bad thing. A potential summer hit with a cracking video! Newly added 'Laura Palmer' is also a big track, have a listen! Electro-pop with catchy hooks.

Short but sweet debut entry there (aye?!) so before I call it a day, I have to give a special mention to Glaswegians Twin Atlantic whose debut full length album, Free, finished at #37 in last weeks album charts. Huge work lads.

If you want to follow me on twitter then please do on @andyknoxmusic

Let me know about any of the bands talked about and what you think of them!
